I'm really hoping to find a source that hits on the above techniques (along with specs), but takes into account bolt material, diameter and different pitches. The reason for this specific search is so I have a better grasp of ALL the fastener torquing techniques.IE: bolt stretch, angular torque, physical torque. I'm a fabricator/machinist (light on the machinist) smile.gif and probably 95% of what I build are one-off's (automotive/race car aftermarket mainly), so I never know what I'll be building next. Luke, apparently my local hardware store(s) isn't as good as yours.I've never seen a reference book like you mentioned. Machtool.Wow! Not quite over my head, but WAY more than I ever thought I'd read about fasteners! Good read, thanks.
